Background
Founded in 1924, this customer operates metalworking mills throughout the world. They manufacture precision tubing and other custom extrusions. Much of their tubing is used in aircraft.

Problem
Seamless tubing is formed by forcing an extrusion bar through a round piece of metal. The extrusion bars (the tooling) are coated with a heavy lube and have to be cleaned after every run. Some of these tooling bars are up to 30 feet long. The current parts cleaning units were not getting the job done.

Solution / System
A C-14-S2/S2/DH conveyor washer with wash, rinse, and dry stages. The normal belting was replaced with guide rollers and the entire system was built on a platform so the guide roller height was even with the rest of the production line.
