Background
With over 25 subsidiaries within the US and internationally, this customer is one of the leading manufacturers of PVC profile systems for windows and doors, and of vinyl building materials. For quality extrusions, it is essential to keep the extrusion tooling clean. Otherwise, built-up contaminants distort the profile of the extrusions thereby ruining the product.

Problem
During the production process of fabricating injection molds, the tooling becomes covered with resins which harden and are difficult to remove. Until now, the customer was hand cleaning with solvents. Some of the hardened residue actually had to be drilled out of the holes. Labor costs were exorbitant.

Solution / System
An F-4000-P-ZX parts washer with wash and rinse stages. This water-based cleaning system is removing the resin build-up in just minutes.
