Background
This client is the leading supplier of electronic
and advanced display materials. They produce ceramic,
flexible and rigid organic circuit materials, materials
for semiconductor fabrication and packaging. They also
provide a wide range of products targeted to the fast
growing display industry, enabling the manufacturing of
advanced OLED, LCD, PDP displays, etc. Problem
The customer uses a variety of stainless steel containers
(up to 40" in diameter) to mix their unique coatings.
These tubs have to be washed frequently (3 per hour)
to remove a residual high viscosity paste. Heretofore,
they were using solvents. They wanted to go to a friendlier
water-based system and they wanted to reclaim the precious
metals that are in the paste.
Solution/System
A stainless steel F-5000LX-P turntable (50"
diameter) style system designed to clean one container
at a time. During the cycle, an automatic spray
manifold moves down into the tub to scour the
inner walls. The unit progresses through wash,
rinse, dry stages in just 15 minutes. The wash
and rinse fluids are re-circulated to capture
the precious metals.
