Parts cleaning system for TRUCK AND DIESEL ENGINE MANUFACTURER cleaning engine parts

Current Method of Cleaning
Damaged Parts - Design a
Parts Washer That Washes
and Dries Them Safely

Background
In addition to their manufacturing plants, this company owns and operates a diesel engine rebuilding center that employs over 250 people. This center totally rebuilds eight (8) diesel engines per day. Cleaning parts is a major part of the rebuilding process.

Problem
In this factory, there is a 15,000 square foot area devoted entirely to cleaning parts. Most of the parts go into a “flame system” to burn-off oils and greases...they then go into a shot-peening machine...the problem was that the “flame” unit can distort aluminum parts beyond repair.

Solution
Design a jet washing system that can accept the same “drum fixture” (36” dia. x 55” l...3,500 lbs. loaded) hoisted into their “flame” and “shot peening” units. The drum sits on two (2) shafts which are chain driven to rotate the drum on a horizontal axis. This system, with its’ 60 HP pump that outputs 170 PSI, cleans parts as well as the “flame” unit in a fraction of the time.

System
A T-7000-P “Purifier” System fitted with heavy duty drive shafts for drum rotation...specifications include a 60 HP pump, gas heat for the reservoir, sludge drag-out system, and a 15 HP regenerative blower for drying.
