Parts washer for ALASKAN COAL MINE cleaning bearings.

Replace Hand Washing with
an Automated Unit That
Could Thoroughly Remove
High Temperature Grease

Background
This Alaskan coal mine was founded in 1943 to supply coal to the US Army. Today they employ hundreds of people, operate year round, and produce over 1,500,000 tons of coal per year. Half of this production goes to six (6) Alaskan power plants while the other half is exported.

Problem
Mining equipment and machinery (earth movers, conveyors, etc), have to be maintained and repaired on a constant basis, especially in this harsh environment. A long time ago, management decided that hand cleaning their parts was out of the question. In fact , they have had Better Engineering jet washers for over 15 years. Now, they needed a larger system for giant bearings.

Solution
To clean their bearings, which are packed with high temperature grease, Better Engineering supplied a large, top loaded jet washer with intense cleaning power....the system also had an automatic sludge conveyor which constantly extracted grease from the tank and placed it in a 55 g drum....so this system not only cleaned parts automatically but also cleaned itself automatically.

System
A T-7000-P "Purifier" jet washer...has a 70" dia. turntable that holds a 2500 lb. load....the lid is automatic, going up and down with the push of a button...." Purifier" filtration system, automatic sludge conveyor, and oil/water coalescer.
