Background
The customer is one of the largest auto manufacturers in the world. The plant in question has several broaching machines. They needed a cleaning system to wash the specialized tooling.
Problem
The heart of any broaching operation is the tool itself. Broaching tools are, almost without exception, custom made and therefore quite expensive. It is important to clean these tools prior to storage. Until now, the customer was hand cleaning.
Solution/System
Impulse-110: top loaded jet washer with automatic lid, working envelope is 110” long x 25” wide x 18” high, djustable cradles hold broaches of varying lengths, the parts are sprayed from multiple directions, all wetted parts of the system are stainless steel, the unit has a heated 400g tank and a 10 HP pump that outputs 200 GPM.
