Tote and Tray Cleaning for Food Industry
A leading provider of prepared meals for the airline and retail food catering industries needed to updated their automated cleaning process for the totes and trays that the meals are transported in. Their current process required additional manual labor to dry totes/trays post process washing. They required a system to wash, rinse, and heat dry the totes & trays and that would function on steam heat. The system was designed with special fixturing to accommodate totes with hinged lids of various sizes. Flat wire belt pushers help to forward totes and trays through the system while guide rails help keep them centered on the 36” wide belt.
Additional Highlights: Fully insulated machine, in-line bag filter, locking door switches, electronic eyes to sense parts, marine clean-out door, steam heat, and steam exhaust.
