Challenge
An international medical waste company needed a safer, more efficient way to clean bins, totes, and lids used for regulated medical waste. Their existing manual process was labor-intensive, exposed workers to potential injury, and struggled to keep up with increasing throughput demands while maintaining strict cleanliness standards.
Approach
Better Engineering partnered closely with the customer to understand operational risks and performance goals, then engineered a custom high-volume solution. The result was the Cyberjet C-72 conveyor washer, designed specifically for medical waste applications.
The system features multi-lane conveyor processing for various container sizes, integrated safety measures, and a fully automated four-stage cycle that washes, rinses, sanitizes, and dries. Built-in containment and cleanout features ensure safe handling of residual waste while maintaining hygienic conditions throughout the process.
Results
The implementation delivered a streamlined, high-throughput cleaning operation that eliminated manual washing and improved workplace safety. The system consistently meets FDA sanitation standards while accommodating multiple container sizes in a single pass.
With automated cleaning, sanitizing, and drying, containers are returned ready for immediate reuse, significantly improving operational efficiency and reliability.
Conclusion
By combining deep application expertise with a tailored engineering approach, Better Engineering provided a solution that enhances safety, efficiency, and compliance. The project highlights the value of collaborative design and proven technology in solving complex cleaning challenges within demanding industries.
