Approach
Better Engineering developed the RTO-R-6000-PCS (Return to Operator) washer, specifically engineered for complex aerospace components. The system uses a rotating basket design that allows parts to be continuously reoriented during cleaning, ensuring full exposure to high-impact spray patterns.
An integrated horizontal axis spray system targets intricate surfaces from multiple angles, while a powered cart system smoothly transfers parts in and out of the wash chamber for efficient handling. The process incorporates a five-stage cleaning cycle, including wash, multiple rinse stages, and precision drying. Recirculated water and advanced fluid management help maintain cleaning efficiency while reducing waste. Heat and air are applied during the drying phase to ensure parts are fully clean and ready for assembly.
