Immersion Ultrasonic Parts Washers

Industrial Ultrasonic Parts Washers and Precision Cleaning Systems

Achieve precision-level cleaning for complex parts, small components, and critical manufacturing applications. Better Engineering’s ImmersoSonic ultrasonic parts washers combine heated immersion cleaning, mechanical agitation, and high-frequency ultrasonic cleaning to remove oils, particulates, carbon, polishing compounds, and other contaminants from surfaces that spray washers may not reach.

How Immersion Ultrasonic Parts Cleaning Works

Parts are submerged in a heated cleaning solution while ultrasonic transducers generate high-frequency sound waves throughout the tank. These sound waves create microscopic cavitation bubbles that rapidly form and collapse against the part surface.

The cavitation process penetrates blind holes, threads, internal passages, intricate geometries, and other difficult-to-access features, removing contamination from areas that spray washers and manual cleaning methods often miss.

The result is uniform, repeatable cleaning performance across every surface of the part.

Why Choose Ultrasonic Parts Washing?

Ultrasonic cleaning technology adds a powerful cleaning action that reaches where spray and agitation alone may not. High-frequency sound waves create microscopic cavitation bubbles that help loosen and remove contaminants from blind holes, crevices, internal passages, and complex part geometries. This makes ultrasonic cleaning especially effective for precision parts, carbon buildup, fine particles, and components that are difficult to clean by hand.

Built for Precision Cleaning Applications

When cleanliness specifications leave little room for variation, ultrasonic cleaning systems provide the precision and consistency required for modern manufacturing processes. Common contaminants removed include:

  • Machining oils and coolants
  • Polishing and lapping compounds
  • Carbon and oxidation deposits
  • Metal chips and particulates
  • Buffing compounds
  • Manufacturing residues
  • Fine debris trapped in internal passages

ImmersoSonic System Options

Better Engineering’s ImmersoSonic Series can be configured around your part size, cleanliness requirements, and production volume.

  • S-22: Compact ultrasonic cleaning equipment for smaller parts and precision components.
  • S-32: Expanded-capacity industrial ultrasonic cleaner for larger baskets and higher throughput.
  • S-60: Heavy-duty industrial ultrasonic parts cleaner for larger parts and more demanding applications.
  • Vacuum Drying: Removes trapped moisture from recesses, passages, and complex geometries after washing and rinsing.

Automated Immersion Washer Transfer Systems

Better Engineering immersion washers can be equipped with automated transfer systems to move baskets or parts through each stage of the cleaning process. Options include walking beam basket indexing systems for efficient linear tank-to-tank movement, as well as overhead gantry systems for larger parts, heavier loads, or more flexible process layouts.

These automation options reduce manual handling, improve process consistency, and help ensure repeatable wash, rinse, and dry cycles. Systems can be configured with vertical agitation, basket rotation, ultrasonics, spray-under-immersion turbulation, heated stages, and vacuum drying to meet the specific cleaning requirements of your parts.

Why Choose An Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning System?

  • Superior cleaning access: Ultrasonic cleaning reaches internal passages, blind holes, threads, and complex part features.
  • Consistent results: Controlled immersion, agitation, rinsing, and drying help reduce variation between cycles.
  • Reduced labor: Automated cleaning cycles cut down on hand cleaning and improve repeatability.
  • Modular design: Build from a single ultrasonic washer to a fully automated precision cleaning line.
  • Application testing: Better Engineering can test your parts and recommend the right precision cleaning solution before your system is built.
